Game: Onmyouji - Chapter 14

Last level of Chapter 14 consists of 4 Yumekui, all at Level 30. The most painful thing about this chapter is the CC / Control Effects, actually. Suggestion is to either give your Shikigami team Effect RES souls (such as 'Mimic') or to evolve your Ame Onna (once evolved, her 'Purifying Rain' Passive skill will be unlocked, which will remove all debuffs and Control Effects).

This was my team when I defeated Chapter 14:

Onmyoji: Hiromasa, Level 27 (Celestiel Arrow Level 2, Double Release Level 2, Occult: Shadow Double Level 2). Panther, Level 4.

Shikigami:

1. Yuki Onna. Evolved, Level 23, Grade 3, all skills at Level 1.
Soul Set: 4 Mimic, 2 Dawn Fairy

2. Kusa. Evolved, Level 25, Grade 4, only Healing Light skill at Level 4.
Soul Set: 4 Scarlet, 2 Watcher

3. Shouzu. Evolved, Level 23, Grade 3, only Water Circuit at Level 2 (Yay! This was a level up I had always been looking forward to. Felt that some damage was wasted since she couldn't attack at all when the skill was at Level 1).
Soul Set: 4 Jizo Statue, 2 Tree Spirit

Aaaaand.... now I have to wait until I'm Level 29 for the next chapter... T_T

Game: Onmyouji - Chapter 11 (Defeating Shuten-Doji and Ibaraki-Doji)

... 4 months later, and I finally did it. :) But honestly, I think I was just lucky... I forgot to put Warashi in the team for consistent orb generation (my 4 Azure Basan souls [Effect HIT 15%, Grants 3 orbs at start of battle] was also on him/her), so I couldn't use my Shikigami's skills consistently... But I finally finished the chapter! Barely survived though... I think only Yuki Onna survived by the end of the battle... Good job, all my Shikigami! :)

This time, my team consisted of:
- Yuki Onna (Evolved, Level 23, all skills at Level 1) To deal damage to enemy
- Kusa (Evolved, Level 23, only Healing Light skill is at Level 2) To heal everyone in the team
- Shouzu (Evolved, Level 20, all skills at Level 1) To distribute damage from enemy, so that instead of one team member receiving 400+ damage, all team members receive only 100+ damage.
- Hiromasa (Level 23, Panther Level 2) To deal damage to enemy

The Souls I used for each Shikigami is listed below: (Higher Soul grade is better. Also it is not necessary to follow this list exactly...)

Yuki Onna
- 4 Mimic (Effect RES +15%, 25% chance of randomly inflicting Daze, Silence, 40% Heal Down, or Confuse for 1 turn when causing damage)
- 2 Dawn Fairy (DEF Bonus 30%)

If you don't have 4 Mimic, some said it's okay to replace with 4 Temptress instead...

Kusa
- 4 Scarlet (ATK Bonus 15%, 35% chance of counter-attack on enemy when taking damage)
- 2 Watcher (ATK Bonus 15%)

Shouzu
- 4 Jizo Statue (HP Bonus 15%, Creates shield for the Shikigami [absorbs damage = 10% of max HP] and 30% chance of shielding teammates)
- 2 Tree Spirit (HP Bonus 15%)

I completely used Auto Mode this time, and the layout is quite similar to the one I used in Chapter 10 (just accidentally replaced Warashi with Yuki Onna).

All the best for Chapter 11! :) Took me a lot of tries, not only to complete Chapter 11, but also to get Souls and level up my Shikigami. :)

But then again, I had always been bad at games... so...

Game: Onmyouji - Chapter 10 (Defeating Shuten-Doji)

The previous chapters were quite easy... My team before Chapter 10 consisted of Seimei, Yuki Onna, Inugami and Hangan. I temporarily replaced Hangan with Momiji, and finally replaced Hangan/Momiji with Kusa.

But then I reached Chapter 10 and had to defeat Shuten-Doji. That was when I realized I had to actually start strategizing properly.

Since the Shikigami each player gets, as well as how the enemy attacks each time tend to be different, I'm not sure if this post would be helpful... but just in case, when I defeated Shuten-Doji, my team consisted of:

- Warashi (Level 21, Evolved, all skills at Level 1) To get consistent orbs so that Shikigami can use skills
- Kusa (Level 21, Evolved, only Healing Light skill is at Level 2) To heal everyone in the team
- Shouzu (Level 8, all skills at Level 1) [was planning to make her at least Level 10+ so that she has more HP/survivability] To distribute damage from enemy, so that instead of one team member receiving 400+ damage, all team members receive only 100+ damage. I think Shouzu and Kusa work very well with each other.

The Souls I used for each Shikigami is listed below: (Higher Soul level is better. Also it is not necessary to follow this list exactly...)

Warashi
- 2 Dawn Fairy (DEF Bonus 30%)
- 2 Nightwing (ATK Bonus 15%)
- 2 Watcher (ATK Bonus 15%)

[But since Shuten-Doji can heal himself, the battle might be a bit longer than expected. I suggest that maybe for Warashi, you can try using something like 4 Watcher souls instead (ATK Bonus 15% + Deals extra 50% damage against units with less than 30% HP).]

Kusa
- 4 Tree Spirit (HP Bonus 15% + Increases all healing effects by 20%)
- 2 Scarlet (ATK Bonus 15%)

Shouzu
- 2 Tree Spirit (HP Bonus 15%)
- 2 Shy Soul (DEF Bonus 30%)
- 2 Holy Flame (HP Bonus 15%)

Before fighting, I made sure not to use Auto Mode. Because using Auto Mode means Warashi will keep using Trade-Off (she loses 30% health but gains 2 orbs for the team), and my main goal to win is to keep everyone on the team at full HP, whenever possible.
Edited on 21st October 2018 : It's possible to still use Auto Mode, just make sure you click on Warashi's image at the bottom so that it reads 'Normal' instead of 'Skill'.

This is how I arranged my team (the battle in this picture was taken after Shuten-Doji):

Kusa opposite Seimei, Shouzu opposite Warashi

With this arrangement, the battle starts with Shouzu's turn. For Shouzu, I always use Water Circuit. Next is Kusa. Usually I use Absorption, but if the team's HP is below a certain level, I use Healing Light instead. For Warashi I always use Soul Fire. For Seimei, during the first round (before Shuten-Doji), I try to avoid using Spell: Protect. At the second round, when Shuten-Doji appears, defeat the smaller Spirits first (they reduce the team's healing). If the team's HP is almost 60 - 70%, then I use Spell: Protect, just in case there is not enough orbs left for Kusa to use Healing Light. Spell: Bind does not work on Shuten-Doji.

I'm not sure if this would work the first time you try it, so don't give up and keep trying! It also took me several times before I managed to pass the chapter... For me, Kusa is my ideal healer because of her skills, so I built my strategy around her (which is why I chose Shouzu to be in the team).

So I guess that's all for completing Chapter 10! :) All the best and good luck! The last battle of Chapter 10, after Shuten-Doji, is much, much easier, so no worries. :)
